i saw a set of clock hands at TJMAXX. They were probably 3 feet long stretched straight. that would make a neat attachment to the back of a skirt at the waist band, or a pair of fairy wings. it would look like how a big bow would look. And i saw som…

My father was in the navy and would bring home these HUGE industrial submarine glow sticks. You had to almost use a hammer to crack them. he would give them to my two brothers and i, and we would use them for a safety light. When the night was over…

I grew up in Charleston SC. I was in brownies then girl scouts as a child. The tale that i will never forget is of a young girl on a plantation. We visited this place many times on trips, and i can still remember the mell, the look, the whole thing.…

Okay sometimes I leave mine wet but thick enough to hold shape, and let it sit for awhile, (Like to walk away and do something else) by the time I get back to it, it seems to be perfect. And believe it or not it's still wet on the inside where you c…

i've been using Celluclay. that's all i have been able to find locally. mine turns out really sticky too, but i can't get it to hold a shape, and if i add more to thicken it, it seems to dry out before i get a chance to get all the details finished.…

If it's fast mache, I make mine really thick it's sticky, so be prepared, sometimes depending on the consistency just splash some water on your hands, it's really trial and error. Don't give up. I have dried clumps in a basket that I thought where g…

About Me:
I'm a baker by heart, but have always done art. I try to make unique pieces, and use all medias that are out there. I enjoy the little things in life, and love to create!
and now a little more about me....
I am a huge Alice in wonderland fan. i have been collecting items since i recieved my first book in a school swap at the age of 8. I spent my lifetime so far collecting enough to have a museum quality collection, and i'm almost there. i love folklore, and fairytales, and all things magic. I also love rock collecting and spend my spring and summer hunting for new gems. I love cryptozoology, and supernatural events.
I'm the proud mother of two children, and a furry family of 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 sugargliders.
I have an obsesion with the color purple, and only wear silver jewelry.
I've been told that i am too giving, and too understanding, but find that to be a perfect trait to have in life:)

I have been messing around with this stuff for awhile now, and after seeing everyone's pieces that they have made with it, i am so jealous. i can't get mine smooth EVER! i tried some tips off a website, but that didn't seem to help. on some pieces i like the lumpy clumpy looks, but i have a bunch i want to do and need it to be smooth. my poor little creative creatures are just wainting to come to life and can't. please anyone, if you have some tips, i can really use them!

thank you for the compliments everyone! it's nice to have someone beside my household say things, keeps me inspired to create more! :) And yes, Jenny D it is much more impresive in person. i'm horrible with pictures, and i'm trying to create a back drop, and a spot to take better pics. maybe that'll help show everything off in a more true form.
